RiverClan finds their Camping Spot(Ok then...might as well get going with this. Between posts, there can be time jumps to later hours, since this RP will generally depict RiverClan's first day out and about. The initial post in a thread will usually be used to set the scene.) June 7th, 2003:[2:30 P.M-]PineBranch--- RiverClan Warrior PineBranch sighed heavily as she set her bags down where the Clan thought would be a good place to set up camp, at least for the moment. The spot was located about a dozen feet away from the winding Bridalveil Creek, which would run all the way into Yosemite Valley to the north. The spruce trees covering the hills around were fluttering with songbirds and the warm breeze. She cleared an area on the ground from pine needles and other debris with her foot, and sat down along with a few of the others, and thought about what the Outcasts may face in the future. Of course their parents and the staff in the park were looking for them; she imagined her mother being worried sick for her. She figured RiverClan would have to a hide for quite a while, and so would all the other Outcasts, whom they said their goodbyes to back at the valley before going separate ways. The warrior swallowed at the possibility that it wouldn't take long for the Outcasts to get found...the people who were probably searching for them at this moment most likely had the tracking skills of foxhounds. Cover your tracks, she remembered what another Outcast said before they parted, probably a deputy. Moving from her train of thought, PineBranch watched her Clanmates take out the tents and begin pitching them. Before anyone would have the chance to call her lazy, she stood up to join them.

Swiftsprint --- Riverclan Warrior
Reya rolled her slim shoulders a couple times, her lean figure surprisingly sore after the long hike through the wilderness. Dropping the packs onto the earth. The grasses near the river were wide and lush, unlike some if the other patches of scrub farther away from the water source. The sun was hot today, but here in the park, everything seemed cooler. Swiftsprint fluffed up her wild black-brown afro before crouching down to unzip the tents. The girl was a bit skittish in such an open area, but she supposed she should get used to it. This was her new home after all. The African American outcast began setting up the two person tent, wondering who she would get to share it with. Usually, she wouldn't worry about it, but this was different. This was who she would likely spend her life (and quite possibly death) with. Her dark chocolate eyes surveyed her clan mates, spying one close by also helping set up camp.

A smile crossed Riverspirit's normally stern face as she looked around at the others. Everyone seemed to be in high spirits about their new life in the park. Yet worry couldn't help but wander into her young and active mind. She didn't have any experience leading large groups of people. Riverspirit's oldest sister had always been the ring-leader of her little siblings, and little Nina had never needed to take control.
She knelt to the ground as if she were catching her breath, when she was actually trying not to have a panic attack. Though she didn't know if it was from fear or excitement. The ground beneath her feet and knees comforted her. Her eyes closed as she thought, Ground yourself, breath in... and breath out... Three more long breaths, and Riverspirit was back on her feet.
The others around her had started to set up their tents, and so Riverspirit opened her pack and pulled out an old, beaten up, second-hand tent that she had bought off eBay. It had been one of the only ones she could afford. Since beggars can't be choosers, she started to set up her new home. The job was done quickly, and Nina had to admit that after it had been set up it didn't look as bad. She turned to see what the others had been up to.
The first person Riverspirit noticed was a small African American girl, who's name Riverspirit didn't know, working on setting up a two-person tent. She seemed to be rather uncomfortable and she seemed to be a bit wary about the area. It calmed the young leader to see that she wasn't the only person nervous about joining the outcasts.
Next, her eyes fell on a girl much younger than Riverspirit. The girl had brown hair and hazel eyes, and she had just stood up. Again, Riverspirit saw worry in the young girl's eyes. I must look the same right now... A horrible feeling filled the leader's stomach making her feel shaky. I'm supposed to be a role-model, but I'm just as unsure about this as everyone else.
She turned away from the others so no one would see her doubts, and she made her face relax into a harsh and cold expression. Straightening her back and lifting her chin, the new leader of RiverClan began to check on everyone's progress.

Icebreeze/Lily --- RiverClan Nurse apprenticeThe first thing Lily did when the group of outcasts came into the clearing, she thought about her grandmother. The old lady was very kind, fixing all the meals, doing all of the laundry, and washing all the dishes manually. She was stern, but it was for the best. The two were always very close, and it was hard to shake off the sacrifice she gave to join the newly-made band of outcasts.
She let out a small whimper, and a tear suddenly rolled out of her brown eye. She let out another soft whimper, before scampering up a pine tree and softly crying. She was among the youngest of the outcasts, being born in December of 1994. That meant that she was only nine, and therefore even more sensitive than the average girl in the age range of the outcasts, not even including the main traits of her personality, which was shy, sensitive, weak, and when you got to know her, very kind.
She looked back down into the camp, where everyone was setting up their bags. Her family never planned to stay in Yosemite anyway, so she didn't have any tents. She looked to her bag, trying to distract herself from the guilt of leaving home. She hadn't even said good-bye, or left any evidence of deliberately leaving home, wanting to have them know that she cared and always will, and, as much as she wished she wouldn't, hoped they were worrying about her too, so she'd know that they cared as well.
She noted the items in her bag in her head. Gloves, a few of her mom's herbs, four pairs of earplugs, two relatively long books, a jade heart to remember her father, a wooden heart to remember her dead grandmother, a jade necklace with a cock on it to remember her mother and her brother, because her mother had gotten matching ones for them, because they were twins and born in the year of the cock, and to remember her dearest grandmother, whom lived with them, four packs of lilac incense in which she'd commonly burn, and two knitted sweaters her grand-mother had given her. One white one with light, colorful flecks, and another blood-red vest.
By then, tears were streaming down her pale face, eyes squeezed tightly shut, and a soft whimper commonly escaping her throat. She knew this was the place for her, but what lengths she had gone for that.

(Letting you guys know that for this thread, at least, there won't be a posting order. This may change for future RP's depending on their situations.) PineBranch---RiverClan Warrior Though it probably took at least fifteen minutes, PineBranch had finally set up one of the warriors' tents she intended to claim. Tossing the box that once held it off to the side, she ducked inside through the screen door and set her backpack on the floor. After kneeling down to unzip it and pull out a rolled-up sleeping bag, she noticed several of her personal belongings she didn't intend to bring along and use at the camp. She took out a pink hardback notebook, and flipped through it to skim over some of her entries that go back at least a year. She shook her head slightly, noticing that nearly all of her rough writings were about incidents from school. Don't have to write about that anymore, she thought as she put the journal back. She was somewhat excited, though, that this notebook would from then on would be filled with musings about the Outcast life, however it may turn out for her. PineBranch dug deeper into the backpack and found a dream-catcher she bought in a store in Yosemite Valley only a few days before. Glancing around the ceiling of the tent, she found a nylon strap where the ceiling met the wall in a corner. Hastily, she tore the thin string in two, and tied it back into a knot over the loop for it hang. She smiled for a moment, expert interior design. Leaving her belongings behind, the warrior stepped back outside to see that many of the tents have already been assembled. She noticed RiverSpirit standing in the same spot, still watching as the others prepared the camp. "Nina," she said from in front of the tent, "What's happening after this?"

"Well..." Nina glanced around the camp site. Moments passed before she realized that she never actually replied to girl who had spoke to her. "Pardon me, well I think we should explore the nearby area and get a feel for out new home. As soon as everyone is finished we can head out..." and Nina looked at the girl closer, "It's Sage right? Or do you prefer Pinebranch?" Nina laughed. It was a harsh and cold laugh, but there was an undertone of a good soul beneath the bitterness. "I guess none of us know what we are doing, but still... I have a feeling that things are going to go well." A sudden wary feeling came over her, and she turned her gaze away from Pinebranch. She had shared to much, and she a hot embarrassed and angry feeling filled her chest.
